Education Experience
Mr. Pravin Bhattarai completed his B.E. from College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences (CBEAS), Nepal (2005-2009) with distinction. After nominated for Homi J Bhaba Scholarship by Embassy of India, he moved to pursue M.Tech. (2010-2012) at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, India. He successfully completed his master’s degree under supervision of Prof. Amit Biswas securing first position in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. After graduation, he served in the capacity of lecturer and research supervisor at CBEAS and also a biomedical engineer at National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL), Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal for few years. Later, after awarded with Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) by Ministry of Education, Nepal (2015), he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Peking University, China and plans to graduate in 2019. His current doctoral research, under the supervision of Prof. Zhifei Dai, focuses on the application of multifunctional nanoparticles for the cancer treatment with particular emphasis on the near-infrared fluorescent molecular probes based phototherapy and imaging. Mr. Bhattarai is also the recipient of most prestigious Nepal Bidhya Bhusan Class ‘B’ Gold Medal, NIT Silver Medal and more.
